On 20 March, the first Spot Spraying Demonstration Day was held at the International Crop Production Centre (IPZ) in Bernburg-Strenzfeld.

Dr Bruno Görlach (DLG) welcomed nearly 70 participants and gave an introduction to the IPZ. Dr Robin Mink from SAM Dimension then dove straight into the topic, presenting the young company’s “Technology for professional crop protection.” Harald Kramer (Chamber of Agriculture NRW) followed with a detailed look at Spot Spray Maps.

The highlight of the event was the live demonstration of spot spraying, where participants could see first-hand what this technology is capable of and the potential it holds.

In the second half of the event, Josef Stangl (HORSCH) and Thies Schmoldt (Syngenta) explored the topic further. They explained the differences between patch spraying and spot spraying and analysed the potential of prescription-based approaches, drawing on experiences from recent years. Their expert insights provided valuable food for thought.
